Life is Hellboy

It's Safe to say when I'm stumped and have no idea what to do I wind up drawing Hellboy. Maybe it's because of the various posters and books I see around my ol' room but I like to think its because he is the funnest thing to draw. I must say though I really cant draw or draw a gun to save my life.

I can't help but be a fan of the greatest Family in Comics, but lets be honest anyone who vaguely knows me is aware how much I think Doctor Doom and heck MF DOOM are Great. It goes back to I reading a bunch of random issues i found in the $.25 at the goodwill as a kid and from then on I was stoked to read any issue dealing with random space exploration and fights with a dude in a metal suit for some peaty reason. Heck I didn't realize how often I really drew the FF crew till I looked at bunch of recent scribbles.


So last month I was trying to recreate some old covers and failed miserably at I my add. I hated realizing how fucking awful I am at just drawing and my refusal to just hang up the pencil. So Ends for the most part stuff I did last month.

A pause in showing all the shit I did last month to throw up some lame shit from this week. Yeah!

I always thought that the Frankenstein's Monster was one of the coolest of the classic scary monsters but i don't think he gets his dues. Hollywood only care about lame emo vampires right now and poor ole F.M. hasn't been in a good movie since Young Frankenstein which is a great frigin film but you the internet already no that. I'm also tired of the film cliche of his mental limitations its been done to death.

Well yeah, shit my Spanish is rusty as heck but whateves here be some more do hickys from a month ago. More of the same due out some time soon in the possible future unless I guess the internet were to die or something. My scribz be sucking less these days? I'm not that sure but when does an 'artist' become comfortable with themselves without fear of being a fraud? I always wanted to do comedy, not really sure how to go about doing it since i spent my youth being broken and having no real self esteem to go forwards into the world of open mic nights at the local comedy clubs.

Killing Time

I haven't really found time to do anything worth noting this month due to poor scheduled and the Wallace the puppy I 'adopted' besides the anorexic looking Chewbaca from the last post so I'll just note some leftovers from that series of sessions.

Chewbacca and other Filthy Animal(s)

Chewbacca/Big Foot/Wookie is the coolest mofo in the Star Wars universe.

Also I adopted a puppy, his name is Wallace but he also has been known to go by Wally and sometimes General Cornwallis.

Hulk and the Infinite Sadness

I am not the biggest fan of the hulk comics but stories where his humanity are a major play are great and this one by James Kochalka is top notch. I really disliked comics for a good while because I became annoyed with 90's hyper Mortal Kombat like nonsense and lack of story telling. It wasn't until I discovered alt or indie comics that I wanted to draw again and be entertained by stories through a visual medium. Now what does any of that have to do with some drawings of the hulk, not much I just thought I'd share it with anyone who stumbles on to this blog.

Video games: I very rarely play games anymore but I'm playing castle crashers again.

Cartoons: been watching cartoons with my sis and she asked me to scribble down some cartoon characters for her so i obliged.

Classic Rock Less Talk

I was a young lad with father issues you know the classic cliche Daddy was a Rollin Stone sorta, he was gone a lot. He drove a truck, never went far but still he was gone for must of the day and wouldn't arrive till sunset, so any moment hangout with him without my other brothers to spoil it was a choice. When Summer came around and school was out of session Dad would take one of us(i have 2 other brothers) in his truck that had one seat and a bucket irresponsible yeah a little bit but i didn't care because it meant that I got to hang with my Pops.

Now how does this tie in to music or a chance to win Mr. Elden's story contest?
Don't Rush me I'll get to the point, I was just trying to convey an image in your head now if you quit bugging voice in side my head I'll get back to the story.

The Truck was red and white and in it had wood paneling inside with an old fm radio and a bunch of other nobs near it and a scanner that made everyone sound like C.W. McCall's Convoy.

Do you get an Image? ok lets move on.

98.5 KFOX was... is a classic rock station in the local San Jose area and in my dad's truck. We rarely spoke except in those rides mostly comments and questions about songs and bands that had just played. In a weird way you can say he introduced me to bands like The Beatles, The Rollling Stones, The Who, and yes without shame Styx he really dugg their track Renegade and would kill me if I told anybody he listend to Styx. Those were some of my favorite summer memories and i cherish them dearly and whenever stumble on a station playing whatever top 40 song i quickly change it to whatever station is playing the Stones or the Boss.

Now i know what your not really thinking, your dad didn't really introduce you to any of theses bands the DJ at 98.5 KFOX did. Well im not writing about how Greg Kihn made me love the Beatles or how I chuckle when Renegade starts playing in one of Adam Sandler's moives.

Batshit Crazy

Every character whether it be in film or classic literature needs or anti-thesis question their actions and so fourth i like to think maybe just maybe everyone has anti version of themselves like maybe there is a Reverse-Favian out there.
